Ward Huier Obituary – Holdrege resident Ward Cameron Huier, who was 79 years old at the time of his passing, passed away at the Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney on October 28, 2022. The funeral service will consist of cremation. There will be no opportunities for viewings or visits. At a later time, a memorial service will be performed in honor of the deceased. The preparations have been entrusted to the care of the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege. Ward was the younger of two children to be born to George and Merrilyn (Gilmore) Huier. He was born on March 17, 1943 in the city of Detroit, in the state of Michigan.
Surviving members of his family include his wife, Suzanne Huier, who lives in Holdrege; their daughter, Lori Anderson, who also lives in Holdrege; their sons, Scott Huier, who lives in Tyrone, Georgia, and Shawn Huier, who lives in Waterford, Michigan; and their two grandsons. The wedding took place on April 20, 1963, between Ward and Ann Shields. They eventually got a divorce. His wedding to Suzanne Blank took place on March 12th, 2012.
