Kenneth Brink Death, Obituary – losangelesfiredepartment The fact that we are the ones who have to tell you that you have been called up for active duty is something that we do so with a heavy heart. We are sorry that we have to be the ones to deliver this news to you. Kenneth Brink, a Firefighter III who had done his shift and was off duty when he died away, was at home when he passed away yesterday evening. The cause of death was natural causes. After 15 years of service, he was a highly regarded member of the Urban Search and Rescue Task Force that operated out of Fire Station 88 in Los Angeles. This task force was responsible for urban search and rescue operations. The responsibility for urban search and rescue operations fell on the shoulders of this task group. His prior employment was with the Fire Department of Los Angeles. During this trying time, we are keeping each and every member of his family in our thoughts and prayers as they go through this ordeal. #RIP

We are grateful for the classy and dignified manner in which they conducted themselves. Because of all the effort that they have put into resolving this issue, we hold the utmost respect for them.
