James Allen Obituay,Learn More About James Allen Death

Houston- At the age of 66, James Oscar Allen, Jr. unexpectedly passed away at his home in Houston. His parents, James “Oscar” Allen, Sr. and Margaret Sue Heair Allen, welcomed him into the world on July 12, 1956 in Houston. He had worked for Franklin Corporation for a long time before retiring. Both the Macedonia Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Houston counted him as a member at one point. James had a solid reputation for his dedication to his career. During his 34 years of service at Franklin, he was absent from the office only very infrequently. In addition to that, he and his brother, Johnny, were the owners of Allen Furniture. He would work there throughout the day, and then go to Franklin for the evening shift.

Even after he had retired, he continued to put in long hours of labor, sawing wood and doing whatever else was required. His CB comrades affectionately referred to him as “Mechanic Man.” He cherished his time spent outside. James was a gentle and compassionate man who had a deep affection for his grandchildren and took great pleasure in spending time with them. He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Allen and Carrie Allen, both of Houston; his son, Eric Allen, also of Houston; his sisters, Janice Duncan (David) and Judy Barnett (Joe), both of Houston; his sister-in-law, Ellen Allen, also of Houston; his grandchildren, Jason McNease, Jayli “Lulu” McNease, Kayson Griffin, and Ryder Griffin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, His parents, Oscar and Sue Allen, as well as his daughter, Jennifer K. Allen, passed away before him. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Johnny Allen.
